Learn about the Marine Mammal Stranding Network, Puget Sound marine mammals, and what you can do to conserve marine wildlife!
We will begin with an introduction to the stranding network, basic information about the role that Sno-King Marine Mammal Response plays in your community, and a brief natural history about some local marine mammals. After a short break we will continue for those who are interested in becoming active volunteers. More detailed information, including common scenarios we respond to, tips on discussing our work with the public, and an overview of how to model responsible wildlife viewing will be given.
For those under 18 years of age please be accompanied by a responsible adult who will attend the training and all volunteer shifts with you.
Please RSVP by email or phone by April 27. Feel free to contact us with any questions or comments. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
